The Mystic Tree

One of my all time favorites.

Before my daughter was born (and I wasn’t on mother’s alert mode), I had quiet days that felt so calm, almost completely still. And it was a quiet afternoon, over tea and music, when I painted this tree.

I remember having an idea of what I wanted, but I do not recall how everything came to be. I was in a deep state of flow that day. My moves were quick and very sure. I am not always like that.

This painting was created with acrylic inks, and it is a beauty. I did show this one, and actually got into the Hardy Gallery’s 52nd Annual Juried Exhibit. I was so honored! The Hardy Gallery is amazing, one of my favorite places, and a must visit. (The Hardy Gallery, Ephraim, Door County).

I sure hope you like this one.
