Learning to focus on what truly matters

Here I am, going back to basics. I am returning to art and design, and my heart is singing…

Real estate is my passion, no doubt – I love my career. I am constantly learning new things, engaging with wonderful people, using my skills in various ways, and I am really good at my job. But here is the thing: the real estate profession can be stressful. It is 24/7, and it involves important financial and emotional decisions. You know exactly what I mean if you are a real estate agent. Our day-to-day is not as glamorous (like, at all) as TV makes it seem, and we hustle, work hard, and manage multiple transactions, thousands of emails, new requests, marketing, Association, continuing education, lenders, inspections, contract complications, etc. It can be a lot if one does not know how to handle stress.

Stress, right? We all deal with it. Here is where creativity comes in handy—it is a stress reliever, a mind opener, and a delight for the soul. I seemed to have forgotten how to nurture my creative side for a few years, and I had to. I focused on my work with all my might, and I don’t regret a thing. Now, however, I am ready.

Here is the focus: creativity, work, family, eating well, and movement. Oh, and tending to my heart. Always.
