As Leaves Hit The Ground

It’s Fall, mellow and all.
I am prepared, I am, and as
The colors of nature dance,
I welcome change.

The hermit energies of winter
Melted with the blossoms of spring,
Followed by the heat of summer,
And all the sexiness it brings.

I am cooling down, now,
Enjoying yet another closure.
My heart moves with the hauling winds,
My breath stills as leaves hit the ground.

It’s Fall, leaves and all.
I am ready, I am, and as
Moments turn into memory,
I enter a new cycle.

…and then I take deep breath.

Wisely

Some people like to think
That Wise people know the right answers
That wisdom is specific
That the path is to be chosen extra carefully
That truth is rigid
That living is a set of rules
That the Wise ones will show the way
The right way
But here I am
Caring to disagree
Wise ones are open
Wise ones carry no dogma
Wise ones know that every path
Is the path
Wisdom is lose and giggles at you
Is it what expands you
It does not restrict you
It is flowing and it belongs to all
It does not deny anything
Or pushes it away
Think of it this way
And you sure will carry on
Wisely

And enjoy the day.

Tight Shoulders

I am sitting here at my desk
Wondering why it takes so long
To let go of certain ways of being
A lifetime of acquired beliefs
Restrained thinking at its best
Is a hard thing to set free
Best time to eat, right way to live
When to say this, how to be a lady
I am conditioned to certain ways
The way I live, eat and pray
The way you live, eat and pray
Trying to do our best, we keep on
Working on bettering ourselves, we listen on
Trying to be healthy, we read on
Opinions, recipes, guidance, all so pretty
Still all so empty of truth
We are chained and do not know
We wake up every day with tight shoulders
And instead of breaking the cycle
We keep on as soldiers, pushing through
And asking for one more advice
Reading one more spiritual book
And starting one more diet
I am sitting here at my desk
Wondering why it takes so long
To free our minds, to cherish diversity
To play our parts with ease
Let’s relieve those tight shoulders
One belief at a time
