A Hint Of Satisfaction

Moments are passing us by
Experiences come and go
We get the groceries
We clean the house
We wash our hair
All feels like a bounce
Between here and there
Preoccupations and duties
Carrying us around
Not much time it feels like
To sit still and calm down
But it’s okay, it’s alright
Life will pass us by
Seasons will come and go
We get the idea
We keep on going
We find the strength
All will work out in the end
Between work and play
A hint of satisfaction
Will find its way
To get you calm and still
And all of the sudden
It’s okay, it’s alright

May all beings find (at least) a hint of satisfaction today.

Opening That Door

“Tears are words that need to be written.”
(Paulo Coelho)

She heard a knock
At the door of her heart
Getting louder and louder
Until a pain emerged
Taking over her whole chest
‘Guilt, I know your call’
She says in a deep voice
‘I know why you are knocking’
She says with a heavy heart
She knew it right then
To allow the heaviness
To open up to pain
As it was calling her
Reminding her of kindness
Speaking to her about patience
She knows she can’t erase the past
But her heart always tells her
To just keep trying and by
Opening that door
She just got better

Sometimes we do things we regret.
It’s okay.

Early Rising

“The time just before dawn contains the most energy of all hours of the day. This has helped me become an early riser and an early doer…. When I wake to see that it’s light out already, I feel the world has started without me.”
(Terri Guillemets)

The dark still reigns outside
Stillness fills my mind
Desire stirs in my heart
The first light approaches steadily
It dawns on me
The force within
Animating
The light appears in the dark
Ideas fill my mind
Fire stirs in my heart
The dark steadily vanishing
It dawns on me
The force within
Awakening
