Showers

Oh, showers… A time of reflection, cleaning up and clearing up.

Showers increase alertness and calm the mind, allowing for deeper intuition and connectedness, which in turn tunes us to greater thinking and the birth of new ideas.   With a clearer focus, it is easier to make decisions and feel the creative energy flow.

But…

“Every one who has taken a shower has had an idea. It’s the person who gets out of the shower, dries off and does something about it that makes a difference.” ― Nolan Bushnell

Empty Hands

And the decluttering mindset strikes again…

“You can’t reach for anything new if your hands are still full of yesterday’s junk.” – Louise Smith

Sometimes all you really need is… empty hands. Empty mind. Space!

Think about it…

“Thirty spokes unite around one hub to make a wheel.

It is the presence of the empty space that gives the function of a vehicle.

Clay is molded into a vessel.

It is the empty space that gives the function of a vessel.

Doors and windows are chisel out to make a room.

It is the empty space in the room that gives its function.

Therefore, something substantial can be beneficial.

While the emptiness of void is what can be utilized.”

Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching, Chapter 11
