Empty Hands

And the decluttering mindset strikes again…

“You can’t reach for anything new if your hands are still full of yesterday’s junk.” – Louise Smith

Sometimes all you really need is… empty hands. Empty mind. Space!

Think about it…

“Thirty spokes unite around one hub to make a wheel.

It is the presence of the empty space that gives the function of a vehicle.

Clay is molded into a vessel.

It is the empty space that gives the function of a vessel.

Doors and windows are chisel out to make a room.

It is the empty space in the room that gives its function.

Therefore, something substantial can be beneficial.

While the emptiness of void is what can be utilized.”

Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching, Chapter 11

Uprooted

I am simply this. I am what I am. It is what it is.

uprooted

Uprooted, yes

Out of home and out of bounds

A heart searching for meaning

First must lose all it knew

All ideals and certainties

Falling apart one by one

Leaving the heart empty

But open, yes

Really open for the first time

deeper and deeper

In deep waters, yes

Drowning in the unconscious

It had lost it all

When its eyes finally opened

A heart felt its beat

Life came rushing in

And aware once again

There it was

Floating and free

out of bounds

Back to the surface, yes

Creating roots once again

Without a need to prove anything

A heart stopped struggling

A heart started breathing

No environment could stop it

Conscious and clear

A heart finally found

Authenticity

I am simply this. I am what I am. It is what it is.
