Happiness Now

“It is not your passing thoughts or brilliant ideas so much as your plain everyday habits that control your life…. Live simply. Don’t get caught in the machine of the world— it is too exacting. By the time you get what you are seeking your nerves are gone, the heart is damaged, and the bones are aching. Resolve to develop your spiritual powers more earnestly from now on. Learn the art of right living. If you have joy you have everything, so learn to be glad and contented…. Have happiness now.”
(Paramahansa Yogananda)

Have happiness now.
Don’t wait until all pieces are in place…
There are too many moving parts.

The Soup Is Hot

“Everyday happiness means getting up in the morning, and you can’t wait to finish your breakfast. You can’t wait to do your exercises. You can’t wait to put on your clothes. You can’t wait to get out. And you can’t wait to come home, because the soup is hot.” – George Burns (1896-1996) actor, comedian

Happiness is not out there, in a magical kingdom, waiting to be found.  Happiness is being you, in your daily life, doing little things or big things….  Happiness is flowing through you, vibrating in you, all there, all yours, all the time.  Happiness is what you feel when you are being and flowing without resistance. It’s nothing magical – it’s natural.

What Is Essential

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupery (The Little Prince)

In our busy world it is so easy to forget the joys of wonder, the energy of fun, the relaxing effects of a belly laugh, the sweetness of innocence and the incredible connection of love.

Your heart willl always remind you…

Go within.
