Conquer Yourself
It is better
to conquer yourself
than to win
a thousand battles.
Then the victory is yours.
It cannot be
taken from you,
not by angels
or by demons,
heaven or hell.

And the funny thing is
The battle is only inside of you
And when you conquer yourself
You suddenly realize
You have always been alright
You have always been enough
What you chased away
Was simply a filter
A bundle of thoughts
That covered your true vision
And the funny thing is
There is no battle at all
This Strange Happiness

You can’t try to sleep
You simply sleep
You can’t try to awaken
You simply wake up
All your efforts
Create more resistance
Maybe the time has come
To be okay, to be okay
